Night Audit

We're looking a Night All-Rounder to join our dynamic team at a part-time capacity at Madison Plaza Townsville.

This role will require you to carry out the daily auditing and balancing of guest house accounts, including all transactions therein as well completing the duties of a Night Receptionist.

For this role we are looking for someone who has the demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel. You will have problem solving abilities, strive for constant improvement and take responsibility of your own performance. A strong attention to detail and work ethic is required as you will complete the public area cleaning nightly to ensure the building is kept to a high standard for our guests. The successful candidate will be responsible to attend to guests requests at all times and have the ability to work independently.

You will create a warm atmosphere that makes our guest feel at home while delivering on our passion to Make Guests Smile.

• Report directly to and communicate with the hotel manager on all pertinent matters affecting guest service and hotel operations
• Cooperate, coordinate and communicate with other hotel departments as required
• Respond to situations to ensure guests receive prompt attention and personal recognition throughout the hotel
• Report problems to Management with suggestions for resolution
• Complete Public Area cleaning with a high attention to detail
• Ensure housekeeping pantries are well stocked at appropriate par levels
• Build and maintain positive relationships with all internal customers and guests in order to exceed their needs
• Communicate well to ensure effective shift hand-overs and problem resolution
• Be receptive to new ideas and respond to workplace changes in a flexible and optimistic manner
• Complete tasks as directed by Management

• Right to work in Australia
• Experience with hotel operating system would be an advantage
• Previous Experience working in a hotel or tourism environment, in housekeeping or front office, would be an advantage
• Team player with a collaborative approach to work
• Ability to have genuine connections with guests and colleagues
• Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication and organisational skills
