Data Scientist / Quantitative Analyst / Python

This is a senior role for someone who wants to
lead with their technical strength
. You'll run engagements where Python and SQL aren't supporting tools, they're the heart of the work, driving evidence, strategy, and outcomes.

You'll work across multiple projects and client cases, sometimes compliance, sometimes investigations, sometimes modelling scenarios worth millions. It's not the consulting treadmill, but you will get that same variety and exposure, without the grind.

What you'll actually do

  • Lead technically complex projects where the data itself is centre stage
  • Pull apart giant datasets and rebuild them into something usable
  • Reverse-engineer processes from raw transactional records
  • Run models and simulations that test scenarios and quantify exposure
  • Surface anomalies and patterns that others have overlooked
  • Guide a small, trusted team while staying deep in the technical detail

Your toolkit

  • Advanced SQL for extracting, interrogating, and transforming large structured datasets
  • Python (pandas/NumPy) for wrangling, modelling, and automating analysis
  • Statistical and mathematical methods to quantify outcomes and test scenarios
  • Ability to trace data flows, reconstruct processes, and validate findings
  • Tools to detect anomalies, stress-test assumptions, and present results clearly
