Acacia Medical Group is seeking expressions of interest from General Practitioners looking for a flexible, well-supported part-time opportunity. This is an excellent option for GPs wanting to complement existing work, balance family commitments, or simply enjoy a change of pace.
The Role- Part-time GP position within Acacia Medical Group commencing within 3 months
- Balanced mix of clinic-based and telehealth consultations
- Approx. 1–2 days per week, scheduled well in advance
- Supported by a dedicated admin and coordination team
- Flexibility first – whether you're a parent wanting school-friendly hours, a GP looking to step back from full-time general practice, or someone balancing study and clinical work, this role adapts to you
- Change of pace – structured, manageable workload without the intensity of a standard GP clinic
- Portfolio-friendly – ideal for GPs who want to complement other work or broaden their experience without overcommitting
- Competitive remuneration aligned to MBS/DVA schedule fees (bulk-billed, no private billing)
- Strong administrative support – pre-booked patients, prepared documentation, seamless billing through Halaxy
- Collaborative, supportive team culture
- Predictable workload – easy to plan your weeks and months ahead
- Billings are bulk-billed and aligned to the current MBS/DVA schedule fees
- GPs typically generate $80–90k per year for a 1–2 day per week commitment in-person days/year, the rest would be telehealth)
- This equates to an effective full-time equivalent of ~$250k per year
- Income is paid directly via Medicare/DVA, with no gap fees or private billing
- Mandatory: Current AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner
- Medicare provider number (or eligibility)
