We're on the lookout for a detail-driven and creative Learning Designer to join our Course Learning Experience Team at The Ripple Group.
About the Role
As a Learning Designer, you'll be responsible for developing, improving and maintaining compliant and engaging courses that align with nationally recognised training packages. Working across our education brands, you'll collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, Designers, and Digital teams to craft high-quality learning experiences for adult learners.
With your expertise in instructional design and online learning development, you'll ensure our content supports learner outcomes, meets compliance benchmarks, and reflects best practices in vocational education and training (VET) for our online students.
What You'll Be Doing
Course Development
-
Design and develop course content, learning resources, learning activities and assessment tools for online students following our best practice course design methods that integrate specific AI tools to support you in every step of your design workflow.

Unpack and interpret training packages and units of competency methodically, and under the guidance of Senior Learning Designers to meet our asynchronous learners needs.

Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, internal teams and external contractors to build engaging, online-ready learning.

Contribute to quality initiatives and validation of learning and assessment tools.
Quality & Compliance
-
Align learning content with compliance and quality frameworks, including licensing and copyright.

Apply internal quality standards (e.g. Learning Design templates, checklists) to each unit you develop.

Contribute to continuous improvement of course materials and learner experiences.

Maintain alignment with the Standards for RTOs and ensure compliance targets are met.
Stakeholder Engagement
-
Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business, resolving blockers and driving collaboration.

Ensure deadlines and project milestones are met through proactive communication and problem-solving.
What You Bring
Qualifications
-
Essential: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
-
Desirable: Degree or qualification in vocational education, learning design, adult education, or online education
Experience & Skills
-
3 years of experience in the VET and RTO sector
-
3 years of experience in learning and assessment design
-
1 year developing digital and online learning content
-
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and digital learning design
-
Skilled at unpacking training packages and aligning assessments to Units of Competency
-
Experienced in using LMS platforms and working in agile, cross-functional teams
-
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement abilities
-
Analytical thinking and a passion for continuous improvement
