The Italian on Mends St in South Perth is looking for an experienced bartender to add to our team. We are a relatively small (115 seat) restaurant located by the South Perth foreshore and as such are a very fast paced venue with a combination of dine in, takeaway and ubereats orders occuring simultaneously.

We are looking for friendly and experienced bartender who is eager to join our little fast paced restaurant and fulfill various duties around the restaurant but predominantly be stationed in the bar. We run as a solely table service bar so all orders will come through on dockets as ordered by the waitstaff.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • RSA (essential)
  • 1 Year experience in a similar bar environment
  • Basic knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, coffees, and cocktails (with the opportunity to bring cocktail specials of their own creation to the restaurant)
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently and independently (preparing drinks, polishing glassware, running drinks and helping guests check out)
  • Basic barista skills (desirable but a willingness to learn is also highly regarded)
  • Ability to keep your station clean while you work

During quiet periods you may be asked to perform other general duties such as:

  • restocking the bar
  • clearing and resetting tables
  • running food and drinks to tables
  • opening and closing duties
  • basic cleaning tasks
  • polishing glassware and cutlery

You will be joining a team with supportive management who prioritizes adequate training and an upbeat crew who all enjoy working together and will jump in to help where ever necessary so no one team member gets overwhelmed by their tasks. As we are a licensed venue an RSA is essential for all staff so any of our staff can jump in and help run or prepare drinks as required.
