Are you an experienced Development Assessment Engineer with a local government background looking to bring your expertise to a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy. Your New Company

A multidisciplinary engineering consultancy trusted by local governments across Queensland to deliver high-quality development and operational works assessments. The team partners directly with councils to provide sound engineering advice, helping shape communities through smart development decisions. With continued growth and strong client relationships, the team is expanding.

Your New Role

You'll be responsible for assessing development applications and operational works against council planning schemes and engineering standards. You'll work closely with stakeholders, attend project meetings, and provide clear, well-considered recommendations. This role offers the opportunity to:

  • Lead and grow a development assessment service offering
  • Work directly with council clients and build long-term relationships
  • Be supported by a team of specialist engineers
  • Develop new skills across multidisciplinary projects

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering/Technology (preferred)
  • RPEQ or working towards (desirable)
  • 3-10 years' experience in development assessment within local government
  • Strong understanding of QLD standards: QUDM, Queensland Streets, TMR, WSAA, SEQ codes
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with council planning schemes and development processes
