Beverage Attendant

This entry-level role is your window to a career in high-end hospitality. Operating under the guidance of the Beverage Manager you will enjoy a Monday to Friday set roster, working 9am to 5pm. The role has ownership over the set-up, restocking and control of multiple bars. In addition, the role will see you managing the movement of furniture and maintaining the presentation of designated areas and assisting the beverage and catering teams as required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent service and develop relationships with guests and staff alike
  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure that the bars are set-up each morning and kept tidy and maintained by replenishing glassware, beverages and condiments throughout the day
  • Set-up meeting rooms and attend to the food & beverage requirements of each meeting
  • Accurate and detailed recording of sales in the POS system
  • Inventory and stock management
  • Clean and maintain coffee machines
  • Clean the bars and wash glasses
  • Assist with monthly stocktakes
  • Assist with large catered events as required
  • Ensure the immaculate presentation, cleanliness and maintenance of designated front and back of house areas
  • Re-set or change the set-up of furniture as required

What we expect from you:

The Beverage Attendant is expected to possess high-level skills and capabilities including:

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
  • Customer/Guest/Hospitality service experience is essential
  • Tertiary food and beverage training is desirable - Barista skills desirable
  • Basic computer knowledge on POS systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate in a formal manner with a variety of people
  • An excellent standard of personal presentation
  • Well organised and good attention to detail
  • A strong work ethic
  • A warm and friendly manner
  • Ability to work autonomously and to a high standard in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to remain calm and perform under pressure and balance competing priorities
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Physically fit and able to move large objects and travel up and down stairs
