Job Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines and solutions using GCP technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Implement best practices for data security, governance, and compliance within the GCP environment.
  • Optimise data processing workflows for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure consistent and reliable performance.
  • Support the migration of on-premise data systems to the GCP platform.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data architecture and processes.
  • Stay updated on the latest GCP tools and technologies to recommend improvements.

The Successful Applicant
A Successful GCP Cloud Data Engineer Should Have

  • Proven expertise in designing and managing data solutions using GCP technologies.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or SQL.
  • Experience with data pipeline tools like Apache Beam or Dataflow.
  • Knowledge of BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and other GCP services.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Understanding of data security principles and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A collaborative mindset to work effectively with diverse teams.
