A Sydney-based artist is seeking a skilled music producer to collaborate on the creation of alt pop singles. The artist brings several years of experience in guitar and piano, along with a portfolio of lyrics and song concepts. The primary objective is to transform these ideas into polished, release-ready tracks that capture a blend of alt pop sensibilities and emotionally resonant lyrics. Influences include Olivia Rodrigo, Ber, Claire Rosinkranz, Jeremy Zucker, and similar artists. The initial engagement will focus on producing one single, with the potential for ongoing collaboration on future projects.

Deliverables

  • Collaborate closely with the artist to develop and refine song arrangements based on provided lyrics and melodies.
  • Produce, mix, and master a high-quality alt pop single using a digital audio workstation (DAW).
  • Incorporate artist feedback throughout the production process to ensure the final track aligns with the desired sound and aesthetic.
  • Provide guidance on vocal production, instrumentation, and overall sonic direction.
  • Prepare final deliverables in industry-standard formats suitable for streaming and distribution.

Requirements

  • Proven experience producing alt pop or similar genres, with a portfolio demonstrating relevant work.
  • Proficiency in digital audio workstations (e.g., Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio).
  • Strong skills in arrangement, sound design, mixing, and mastering.
  • Ability to interpret and enhance the artist's creative vision while maintaining a collaborative approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to feedback.
  • Availability for remote collaboration, with flexibility to accommodate the artist's schedule (Sydney, Australia time zone preferred).
  • Knowledge of current trends in alt pop production and a passion for innovative, emotionally-driven music.
