Wood is recruiting a Mechanical Construction Coordinator (Oil & Gas). You will join our Operations business to work with a major player in the Oil & Gas industry on an offshore brownfield project in an Engineering Service Contract.
This position will be hired on a contractor basis for 6 months and hybrid.

Wood's "Operations" APAC West business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation, and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Southeast Asia.
Scope of Work
- Delivery of FEED deliverables associated with Construction activities
- Creating access workpacks
- Input into construction feasibility studies for the project
- Providing inputs into constructability reviews, schedules and estimates
- Coordinating with personnel offshore
- Input into design and engineering to ensure Construction activities are optimized and the works scopes can be completed safely and efficiently

Expected:
You will be able to work lawfully in Australia and hold full working rights for this location. If you have a visa application in progress, you are also encouraged to apply.
Ideally you will be suitably qualified Mechanical engineer from a recognized institution or tertiary qualification will also be considered along with 8+ years of proven experience in the Oil & Gas sector in Australia working within multidiscipline fields.
In addition, you will have:
- A demonstrated commitment to safety
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills – both written and verbal
- Previous experience in a role of construction engineering and coordination working in a project multidisciplined team
- Substantial experience of interpreting discipline documentation
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPS) and Hazard Identification Studies (HAZIDS)
- Substantial knowledge and understanding of technical specifications

What will set you apart is your proven experience in a similar role as a Mechanical Construction Coordinator working within a Brownfield EPC, ESC or EPCM environment, preferably within the Australian Oil & Gas / LNG industry.
