About the role
We are looking for a reliable and dedicated Animal Attendant to join our team at Longford Park Boarding Kennels & Cattery in Longford, Tasmania. This is a casual position, giving you the flexibility to work around your other commitments.
What you'll be doing
- Providing high-quality care and daily routines for our boarding dogs and cats, including feeding, exercising, grooming, and cleaning kennels
- Monitoring the health and wellbeing of all animals in our care.
- Maintaining a clean and organised environment in the kennels, cattery, and surrounding areas
- Assisting with the reception and admission of animals, as well as their check-outs
- Ensuring all daily tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
What we're looking for
- Previous experience working with animals, in a boarding kennel or veterinary background is preferred but not necessary
- A passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing exceptional care
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
- Attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
