We are Key Assets Australia

Key Assets is a leading not-for-profit, children, family and community services agency, founded in Australia in 2007. We provide foster care & family services. Operating across all states, the ACT and Norfolk Island, our purpose is to achieve positive and lasting outcomes for children, families, and communities. To achieve that, we need people like you

We pride ourselves on being inclusive and embrace and celebrate the diversity of all people within our communities. Our diversity helps us provide the best support possible to carers, families, children and young people and all of our external stakeholders.

A little about the role

KAA is about to embark on our KeyLink 2.0 project which encompasses redesign across the full continuum of care. It's about creating a CRM platform that grows with us and enables best practice. With KeyLink 2.0, we're aiming to deliver: simpler processes and faster workflows; a flexible, future-ready platform; stronger privacy, security and compliance; and reliable, accessible data to support reporting and decision-making.

As Business Analyst, you will support Key Assets Australia in the design and build of KeyLink 2.0 by aligning business objectives, processes, and technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and impact. Your role will focus on gathering requirements, standardising processes, and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure documentation, reporting, and service delivery needs are met and aligned with the new system's design.

As a Business Analyst, you will:

  • Collaborate with operational teams, stakeholders, and the external vendor to gather and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements through workshops, interviews, and process mapping; translate these into detailed user stories to support the implementation of KeyLink 2.0.
  • Work with the Data and Reporting Lead to define and validate data migration, cleansing rules, analytics, and reporting requirements, ensuring solution designs meet key business needs and align with project goals.
  • Develop test scenarios and acceptance criteria, support User Acceptance Testing with business users, and manage issue tracking and resolution with vendors and internal teams.

The base salary for this position is $85,025 - $93,975 per annum + super + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum.

This position is a full-time 18 month contract and you can be based between any of our KAA sites, with hybrid working options also available

To be successful in this role, you'll come with:

  • A degree in Business Analytics, Business Administration and/or Information Systems.
  • A minimum of 4 years' relevant industry experience as a Business Analyst (or similar) supporting large-scale system implementation projects.
  • Strong project management, presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing process and workflow diagrams, data mapping, process documentation, and readiness activities to support system implementations.
