The Opportunity

This position leads one of the Group's strategically significant production facilities — a highly automated, multi-line site employing approximately 50 people. The site plays a vital role in maintaining domestic supply and product availability within the national network.

As Site Operations Manager, you will have end-to-end accountability for production, maintenance, quality, and cost performance. The focus is on efficiency, safety, people engagement, and embedding a culture of operational excellence.

The site is located in a smaller metropolitan area (not in Melbourne), offering an excellent lifestyle balance — modern infrastructure, accessible amenities, and strong community connection. For interstate appointees, a comprehensive relocation package will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations across production, maintenance, and quality.
  • Deliver improvements in safety, cost efficiency, OEE, and waste reduction.
  • Build capability and engagement within a stable, long-tenured workforce.
  • Embed OPEX / LEAN and data-driven decision-making across the site.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and commercial teams.

About You

  • Experienced Plant Manager, Site Leader, or Operations Manager with full-site accountability.
  • Strong background in FMCG, food, packaging, pharmaceutical, or other advanced process industries.
  • Demonstrated success in leading improvement programs and managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Hands-on, approachable leader with strong people development and communication skills.
  • LEAN / continuous-improvement experience combined with sound commercial judgement.
