Sil Support worker/Support worker with ability to run cooking classes

Our Organisation has two roles to fill.
Our Organisation is looking for a person to work towards becoming a team leader, running various small cooking groups in our double galley style kitchen at our activity centre and, to do general in-home and community shifts outside these groups.
The role would require flexibility to work with a range of participants with different needs.
Our Organisation in Toowoomba is looking for Casual Disability Support Workers who can do consecutive sleepovers.
The role would require the applicant to work closely with participants in a SIL with participants, assisting with their daily routine, accessing the community and, doing non-active sleepovers.
About You Cooking Position
The right applicant should have the following:
- Ability to provide high quality care whilst understanding professional boundaries.
- Enjoys cooking and has the ability to work with participants to enhance their cooking skills.
- Great communication skills and be able to direct.
- Strong food safety knowledge.
- Good written and comprehension skills and be able to create simple fun recipes and to do shift notes.
- Ability to logically work through different strategies to be utilised depending on the situation.
- Knowledge of NDIS & disability services standards.
- Ability to work autonomously with participants and also to be part of a team.
- Must speak good English.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to complete all training modules.
About You Sil Position
The right applicant should have the following:
- Ability to provide high quality care whilst understanding professional boundaries.
- Ability to logically work through different strategies to utilised depending on the situation.
- Knowledge of NDIS and disability services standards.
- Strong communication skills- both written and verbal.
- Ability to work autonomously with participants and also be part of a team.
- Must speak good English.
- Availability to do sleepovers.
What you will need:
- Blue card (or able to obtain)
- NDIS Workers screening card (or able to obtain)
- Current Australian Driver's license and own roadworthy vehicle.
- Smart Phone
- A positive attitude
- Ability to do in house training.
