Role details
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Cultural Practice Program Facilitator to join their team on a temporary basis.
Identified Role: Under Section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.

Your opportunity
Coordinate, evaluate and implement the mandatory Cultural Practice Program in the Mackay Hospital and Health Services geographical boundaries. This program contributes to the implementation of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Capability Framework that aims to improve the cultural capability of all staff, contributing to improving the health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Unit is an essential element of the Mackay Hospital and Health Service support services and ensures the development and delivery of culturally appropriate services and models of health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander people and families.
