About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer with local QLD residential experience to join our diverse Residential Design Section in our Eagle Farm office. Our Residential Section helps our clients with a range of design, documentation and detailing for single and multi storey homes, and custom-built residences.

A 'day in the life' looks like:

• Building, maintaining and developing relationships with clients, liaising with them on all aspects of their design requirements.
• Working with clients to understand their requirements and providing cost effective designs and solutions within designated timeframes.
• Ensuring that engineering designs adhere to Australian Standards and Structerre's design philosophy, in addition to the Company's technical procedures and standardised processes.
• Providing technical advice to staff within and outside the Section, and to external clients, as required.
• Providing leadership to, and assisting in the development of, other engineers through guidance and instruction.
• Interpreting architectural drawings for structural design consideration and extract relevant information.

About You

We are looking for a client-focused individual to hit the ground running who has Australian residential engineering experience. This seasoned professional must have previous experience in the Australian residential market, a 'can do' attitude and eye for detail in addition to demonstrating the following:

• A completed Civil/Structural Engineering Degree that is recognised by Engineers Australia (required).
• 5+ years' experience.
• A strong client focus and desire to deliver practical, sustainable and effective engineering solutions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with the following designs – Single and Multi Storey Residential buildings, Subfloor, Footing, Timber / steel framing, Retaining walls, Suspended concrete floor, Site inspections.
• A high level of initiative and proactivity, particularly in relation to creative problem solving.
• A sound understanding of mentoring and coaching techniques.
• A valid Construction White Card.
• A valid Drivers' Licence. (Good to have)
