A bit about the role:
Here at Youth Projects our Youth Coaches are busy on the frontlines tackling the cycle of disadvantage every day, breaking down the complex barriers to employment of young people in your community This unique opportunity will be based out of Melbourne CBD however, travel to our Western Suburbs sites will be a requirement of this role.
As a Youth Coach you won't just help young people aged 15–25 find a job, you'll empower them to build lasting skills, confidence and independence while utilising a strengths-based case management approach. Acting as a mentor, advocate and a connector between young people and the local labour market, our Youth Coaches are all about bridging that gap between leaving school and starting a career, all in accordance with the Transition to Work program

Key Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Youth Work, Community Services, Career Development, Employment Services or related field is a mandatory requirement for this role.
- Proven experience in employment services, training industries, and/or community/youth sectors, demonstrating a strong understanding of the challenges faced by young people seeking employment or education/training opportunities.
- Youth Engagement Expertise: Demonstrated ability to assertively engage and support young people, understanding and addressing the diverse and complex barriers they face in accessing employment, education, or training.
- Client-Centred Approach: A commitment to engaging with service users, employers, and industry representatives with respect, dignity, and a non-judgmental attitude, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
