About the role
Join our supportive team as a Home Care Employee at Yass Valley Aged Care Ltd in Yass NSW. This is a casual position, as a Home Care Employee, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality in-home care and support to our elderly clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
What you'll be doing
- Provide personal care assistance, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with domestic duties including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Accompany clients to appointments and assist with running errands
- Engage consumers in social activities and provide companionship
- Collaborate with the care team to implement individualised care plans
- Maintain detailed client records and documentation
- Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and quality standards
What we're looking for
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification
- Experience providing in-home care or support to the elderly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for caring for the elderly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
