About the role

We are seeking an experienced Area (Account) Manager to oversee our commercial cleaning operations in the Adelaide CBD and surrounding suburbs. This part-time role will see you managing a team of cleaning personnel and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained across our client sites. With a focus on building strong relationships with our customers, you will be the key point of contact and responsible for managing all aspects of service delivery. The role will offer the potetntial to grow gradually as more contracts come on board to eventually become a full time position

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise a team of cleaning personnel and coordinate their daily schedule and activities

  • Conduct site visits to monitor service delivery and ensure KPIs are being met

  • Liaise with clients to understand their needs and respond quickly to any issues or concerns

  • Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment for your assigned sites

  • Provide coaching and feedback to the cleaning team to drive continuous improvement

  • Assist with the recruitment, training and development of new cleaning staff

  • Prepare detailed reporting on service delivery and client satisfaction

What we're looking for

  • At least 3 years' experience in a commercial cleaning management role preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build lasting client relationships

  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities to juggle multiple priorities

  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to problem-solve quickly

  • A proactive and customer-focused mindset

  • The ability to lead and motivate a team of cleaning professionals

  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment and supplies

  • A current driver's licence and access to a vehicle

Who would be potential candidates

This position would also suit an experienced cleaner who may be self employed and looking to grow into a managerial position and supplement their current earnings. You will have very good technical knowledge and hands-on experience in commecial cleaning such as mechanical scrubbing of hard floors, carpet cleaning, window cleaning and attention to detail. You will also be able to utilise spreadsheets, and general computer skills. It is important that you present well and have good communication skills and be able to deal with high profile clients in a professional manner. Significant training and help will be provided, f you are from this category. The vast majority of your time will be spent visiting sites and meeting with the cleaners to ensure all is running well often in the evenings, which will also provide an opprtunity to conduct an unoffical inspection of the site and help the cleaners with any concerns they may have. Much of the admin can be done from home such as ordering consumables etc.
