Location of Depot: Bromelton based outside of Beaudesert

Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the position includes the following responsibilities:

Delivering Freight:-

  • Run to timeslots, delivering general freight in and around the Regional, Metropolitan areas
  • Travelling to various customers sites and preparing trucks to be loaded / unloaded
  • Flexibility to respond to business needs at short notice

Work Health and Safety

  • Securing and restraining loads in a safe manner as per NHVR and Operational requirements
  • Performing vehicle pre-start checks
  • Complete all paperwork requirements
  • Perform general housekeeping of the Prime Movers / Trailers / SCT & customer premises

Policies and Procedures

  • Comply with all site requirements and such other matters as may be directed by the Company

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Experience

  • Current MC & HC Driver's license
  • Singles / B-Double driving experience
  • Impeccable safe driving record and commitment to creating a safe work environment
  • Impeccable customer service

Knowledge

  • Operation of a Prime Mover and trailer sets
  • Transporting freight in a safe and efficient manner
  • Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility
  • Knowledge & experience with load restraint procedures

  • Strong safety and driving focus
