About the role

Correspondence management is a vital customer service function within the City of Sydney. It is a key part of our strategy to strengthen customer service values and achieve our Sustainable Sydney 2050 plan for a green, global and connected city.

As a Correspondence and Briefings Officer within the Customer Service team, you will work with City staff to research and then draft well constructed plain English responses to executive correspondence. Your responses will be prepared to align with the City's Correspondence Style Guide and within agreed service & performance levels.

We're Looking for someone with:

  • tertiary qualifications in communications

  • hands-on professional with experience working in dynamic environments

  • skilled at transforming complex information into clear, easy-to-understand content

  • exceptional writing and editing skills

  • strong negotiation and time management abilities

  • meticulous attention to detail

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
