getback program

About getback Physiotherapy

The 
getback program
 is a data-driven and evidence-based approach to spinal rehabilitation.

Using advanced, computer-controlled exercise devices, getback safely strengthens and mobilises the 
deep spinal muscles
 that stabilise the spine and reduce pain.

Each patient receives an 
individualised treatment plan
 with measurable targets to restore spinal muscle strength and mobility to normative levels.

Our approach focuses on 
precise, safe, and progressive movement
, helping patients recover from back pain, neck pain, sports injuries, and improve overall spinal health.

Your Role

As a Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist at getback South Melbourne, you will:

  • Conduct initial assessments and develop individualised treatment programs using the getback system.
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care focused on spinal rehabilitation and functional recovery.
  • Support patients throughout their program, tracking and adjusting treatment plans using measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure best-practice standards in patient care.
  • Educate patients on spinal health, posture, and ongoing maintenance strategies.
  • Participate in clinical development and training under the guidance of Clinical Director Geoffrey Mackay.

About You

  • A qualified 
    Physiotherapist
     or 
    Exercise Physiologist
    .
  • Passionate about patient care, rehabilitation, and long-term health outcomes.
  • Interested in spinal health and evidence-based clinical practice.
  • Confident with clinical assessment, exercise prescription, and outcome-based treatment.
  • A strong communicator with a positive, team-oriented approach.
  • Eager to learn and grow within a structured clinical model.
