What You'll Do as an LWB Youth Worker:

  • Build trusting, nurturing relationships with children and young people through genuine care and active engagement

  • Be a positive role model who inspires young people to develop life skills and confidence

  • Support family involvement and facilitate meaningful connections that promote healing and belonging

  • Encourage positive peer relationships and community connections

  • Empower young people to have a voice in their own lives and decisions

What You Need to Get Started:

  • Unrestricted driver's license and reliable car (to help transport clients)

  • Current First Aid & CPR certificates (or willingness to get certified before starting)

  • Actively enrolled in or completed a relevant youth work qualification (if unsure, click here Minimum Qualification Standards Information Sheet)

  • Reference checks focused on child safety

  • National Criminal History check (paid by us)

  • Working with Children's Blue Card application (cost $101.30)
