WHAT'S THE JOB?

As a Graduate within the program, you will support the senior surveyors in conducting surveys and assessments, contributing to various projects, and gaining valuable experience in the field. This entry-level position is designed for people who are eager to develop their skills and grow within the surveying profession to experience Large scale construction projects, Civil surveying, Topographic Detail surveys, Laser Scanning and Cadastral surveying.

• Program Overview:
• Our 12-month Graduate Surveyor Program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience through rotations in our specialized teams:
• Laser Scanning Team: Engage with cutting-edge 3D laser scanning technology, capturing and processing high-resolution spatial data for various applications
• Land & Residential Team: Conduct topographic and boundary surveys, assisting in land development and residential planning projects.
• Cadastral Team: Participate in defining legal property boundaries, preparing documentation for land titling, and understanding land ownership laws.
• Civil Team: Support infrastructure projects by providing precise measurements and data critical for design and construction phases.
• Construction Team: Assist in setting out construction sites, ensuring accuracy in the placement of structures and adherence to design specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform field surveys using advanced equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
• Process and analyze survey data to produce accurate maps, plans, and reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and planners.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation of survey activities

The Ideal Candidate:

• Recent graduate or final-year student in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understand critical thinking - using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in surveying software and tools is advantageous
• Valid driver license
• White card
• Use of Total Stations and GPS
• Professional demeanor with colleagues and clients
• Willingness to learn, to share technical knowledge with your colleagues
• Understand effective time management skills.
• Be interested and innovative in the techniques, equipment and methodologies that we use across the organisaiton
