Overview:
The Operations Manager will strategically manage and optimize the complex and hospitality-oriented operations of Atlassian Central. This role is critical to ensuring an elevated standard while maintaining disciplined control over operating expenses.

Responsibilities:
Summary of responsibilities
- Participate in the design development, construction monitoring and operational readiness prior to the building being fully operational
- Develop and execute a cost-management strategy to effectively control operational expenses, consistently achieving targeted cost per m² and cost per employee visit metrics.
- Oversee sophisticated building systems and operations, including mechanical systems, multiple ingress and egress points, extensive biophilia arrangements, and park areas requiring specialized maintenance and irrigation.
- Manage hospitality and operational complexity, encompassing multiple subtenants, visitor experiences, wayfinding strategies, several 100+ person event spaces, multiple commercial kitchens, cafés, and a robust lobby presence, ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience akin to premium hotel standards.
- Partner closely with leasing, events, culinary teams, facilities, and property management to ensure smooth operational integration and optimal resource allocation, elevating both tenant and visitor experiences.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, leveraging data to continuously enhance hospitality service standards while tightly controlling operational expenditures.
- Lead vendor management and procurement processes, ensuring optimal service quality, cost efficiency, and responsiveness across all building operations, including hospitality services, events, maintenance, landscaping, and mechanical systems.
- Manage Subtenants within the Atlassian stack
Qualifications:
- Client side/in house experience of managing operations of large scale offices or major events or hospitality venue.
- Recent experience of the end to end planning/project mgmt and delivery right up to FDOB of large scale building or venue operations.
- High level of comfort with financial planning and opex budgets in the region of (+AU$15m) and procurement of multi year deals with values (+AU$10m).
- Experienced in delivery of services through vendor partnership contract.
- Experience in both soft and hard services mgmt.
