The role:

  • Uniform Shop Assistant.
  • 1-year contract commencing ASAP.
  • Part-Time c.0.6 FTE.
  • Mon, Wed, Fri (7.30am-3.45pm).
  • Works term-time only plus 1 week before Term 1 (39 weeks per year, total).
  • Salary is averaged and paid across 52 weeks.
  • Reports to the Business Manager.

Key duties:

  • Assist customers (students and families) with uniform selection and fitting.
  • Process sales transactions using POS system.
  • Maintain stock and manage appearance of shop/displays.
  • Receive and unpack deliveries.
  • Handle customer enquires in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Support stock take and inventory management.

The ideal candidate:

  • Some demonstrated experience in a retail customer service role preferred (but not essential if you are naturally a confident, capable, and organised person who loves people)
  • Basic / everyday computer skills.
  • Outgoing, bubbly personality with a warm and welcoming disposition.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to connect with all ages.
  • Able to work independently with limited direction.
  • A communicative and relational team player who makes a positive contribution to the life and culture of Kambala.
