About the Role TRS Resourcing is seeking an elite Master Technician to join a high-performing, manufacturer-aligned automotive workshop. This role is designed for an industry-leading professional with exceptional diagnostic capability, deep OEM technical knowledge, and advanced proficiency across electrical, mechanical, and software-integrated vehicle systems.

As the workshop's senior technical authority, you will lead complex diagnostics, perform high-precision repairs, support OEM-level programming and calibration, and provide mentorship to developing technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Lead advanced diagnostic procedures using manufacturer-specific tools, scanners, and programming platforms.
• Conduct detailed fault analysis across high-voltage, electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems.
• Perform coding, programming, module calibration, and software updates in line with OEM requirements.
• Serve as the workshop's technical expert, providing guidance, support, and mentoring to technicians at all levels.
• Collaborate with service advisors, management, and OEM field representatives to ensure accurate and efficient repair processes.
• Oversee quality control, road testing, and final inspection of complex repairs.
• Maintain expert knowledge of emerging technologies, including EV/Hybrid platforms, ADAS systems, and OEM technical advancements.
• Contribute to workshop process improvements and uphold premium service standards.

Skills & Experience

• Fully qualified Automotive Technician with Master Technician accreditation or equivalent senior diagnostic status.
• Extensive experience diagnosing and repairing highly complex vehicle systems at dealership or high-performance workshop level.
• Strong command of OEM diagnostic software, advanced scan tools, coding, programming, and module configuration.
• Deep technical understanding of modern automotive systems including HV batteries, ADAS, CAN bus, and networked vehicle electronics.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of resolving difficult or unusual technical issues.
• Proven leadership and mentoring ability within a workshop environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear technical guidance.
• High level of precision, professionalism, and commitment to first-time-right workmanship.
• Current and valid driver's licence.
