About the role

We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled Workshop Foreman to lead our Service team. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and supervising the workshop team to ensure all repair and service work is carried out to the highest standard, efficiently and on time.
• Providing expert technical guidance, including accurate diagnosis of faults and overseeing repair quality.
• Supporting the team by stepping in when required, demonstrating hands-on expertise and problem-solving skills.
• Communicating effectively with team members to maintain smooth workflow and strong teamwork.

We are seeking a hard-working, determined individual who is passionate about the automotive industry and looking to build a long-term career with us.

This full-time position is based in our Burwood, NSW location, Monday to Friday am to 5.30 pm.

What you'll be doing

• Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of technicians to achieve their best.
• Managing day-to-day workshop operations with a strong focus on productivity and workflow efficiency.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety procedures, occupational health requirements, and industry regulations.
• Overseeing quality control, diagnostics, and final testing to maintain top-tier service standards.
• Providing technical support, guidance, and training to team members.
• Collaborating closely with the Service Advisor and wider team to meet performance targets.
• Driving a culture of continuous improvement through Kaizen activities.

About you

• Trade qualification in Light Vehicle (European brand experience highly regarded).
• Proven experience as a Workshop Foreman within a dealership environment in the automotive industry.
• Valid, unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence.

• Full Australian work rights.

• Strong diagnostic and repair skills with high attention to detail.

• Solid understanding of workshop operations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.

• Ability to oversee quality control, diagnostics, and final testing to maintain service standards.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, motivate, and inspire a team.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Collaborative, team-first attitude with flexibility to support and step in when needed.
• Proactive and hands-on approach with strong problem-solving ability.
• Ability to stay composed under pressure while fostering a positive and professional team culture.
