As a PACU Recovery Nurse you'll provide excellent specialised care to patients undergoing surgical or medical procedures, monitoring and assisting their recovery post-anaesthesia. We pride ourselves on working as a team: supporting one another is the underlying culture.

Key Accountabilities & Skills:


•      Using initiative and intuition to respond quickly to patient and department needs


•      Supporting patients through their post-anaesthetic recovery


•      Applying excellent critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills


•      Having a strong attention to detail, ensuring patient safety at all times


•      The ability to stay calm under pressure


•      A great sense of teamwork and effective communication skills


•      Supervising ENs and AINs if applicable


•      Accepting accountability for own actions and seeking guidance when situation exceeds knowledge / experience


•      A genuine commitment to providing compassionate care that aligns with Wyvern Private Hospital's "Care Without Compromise" philosophy

Other Requirements:

·       Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Division 1 (AHPRA)

·       Minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar environment

·       Valid Working with Children Check

·       National Police Check

· point ID check

·       Full Australian Working Rights (Sponsorships not available at this stage)

·       Proof of vaccinations

·       Blood Safe e learning
