About The Role
The Day Centre Manager role will be a mix of office-based and face-to-face work with your support workers, NDIS adult participants and their key stakeholders.
The Day Program offers in Centre supports tailored for adults living with disabilities so they can build their skills of independence, socialise and build capacity in line with their NDIS goals.
- You will be in a lead position for a team of support workers to provide support for participants from their home and into the Centre.
- Your focus will be on ensuring support workers are rostered and trained for their participant's needs plus ensuring daily reporting of participant progress
- You will be in charge of developing, maintaining and evaluating the Centre's programs that meets the needs of the participants
- Be the key contact with specialised teachers delivering the Centre's program
- Lead NDIS reporting on the participant's progress is important for participant Reviews
- Liaising with NDIS key stakeholders as required
- Maintain a high-standard of service to meet NDIS Quality & Safeguard guidelines and with a focus on work-health and safety responsibilities
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' management experience in a similar role
- Minimum Certificate IV in Disability, or Individual Support
Or Diploma or Degree in Social Science, Welfare, Health or related field is highly preferred - Minimum 2 years' experience in rostering and coaching team of support workers is highly preferred
- Ability to manage budgets and implement WHS policies
- Above average computer literacy of Microsoft Apps and e-rostering system
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
- Good knowledge and experience of completing progress reports for NDIS
- NDIS Worker Orientation and NDIS Worker Number
- First Aid Course, CPR, Anaphylaxis, Asthma and Medication administration
- National Police Check, Working with Children's Check
- Current Driver's Licence
- ABN registration is highly preferred
