
Chief Property and Place Officer

Reporting to the Chief Executive you will be an integral part of our Leadership Team. In this role you will hold the accountability for the leadership of deal making for precinct schemes that create precincts which support a world class end-to-end transport experience for customers and exceptional place making for the people of NSW.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Structuring deals for our Parramatta, Sydney Olympic Park and Pyrmont precinct schemes, including capital, development, investment and transaction structuring.
- Lead the development of detailed financial assessments and due diligence for target priority investments, ensuring value for money outcomes for the State.
- Overseeing the land and property functions of Sydney Metro across the full lifecycle including planning approval, acquisition, development, management, divestment and disposal of land and property assets.
- Develop and implement plans to ensure the activation of precincts which are vibrant with a strong sense of community ownership.
- Building relationships with local councils, communities and commercial partners to enable project development.

About You
You are a tertiary qualified property and place professional looking for an opportunity to apply your experiences to build a world class property and place function:
- You bring strong commercial acumen and have experience in leading major negotiations in complex transactional environments, with a proven track record in the infrastructure and property sectors.
- You are passionate about integrated precincts and want to develop and deliver enhanced place and value for money clients, stakeholders and communities.
- You bring sound commercial acumen and experience developing innovative and commercially viable solutions and schemes.
- You will understand how to build, shape and solve outcomes.
- You will understand the balance of addressing customer requirements whilst adhering to other regulatory, policy, government and operational conditions.
- You will have demonstrated experience building, leading, motivating and guiding very accomplished teams.
- You are an influencer.
- You have the ability to articulate complex concepts and put forward compelling arguments and rationales to all levels and types of audiences.
- You champion a customer-centric ethos.
