We understand that flexible work means something different to everyone and encourage you to have a conversation about the flexible work options available.
About the Role
This is hands-on training with real-world influence, not just ticking boxes.
As a Trainer Assessor at Cowal, you'll be embedded in the heart of operations, either in Processing (permanent) or Open Pit (12-month contract), delivering practical, site-based training that directly supports safety, performance, and career development across the workforce.
Reporting to the Senior Training Advisor, you'll be responsible for delivering nationally recognised training, assessing competencies, and maintaining accurate records using systems like INX and Moodle. You won't be designing programs from scratch, but you will be the face of training, presenting, assessing, and supporting in-field activities.
What makes this role stand out?
- You'll help shape a training culture and its operational interfaces
- Flexible roster options to suit your lifestyle and operational needs
- A chance to make a visible impact in a growing team with strong leadership support
Whether you're stepping up from an operational role or bringing formal training experience, this is a role where your practical knowledge will be valued and your contribution will be felt.
About You
You're someone who knows the ropes, whether it's in processing, open pit, or another heavy industry environment. You've probably trained others informally and now you're ready to take the next step. You might already hold your Cert IV in Training and Assessing, or you're keen to complete it with support.
You're motivated by safety, teamwork, and helping others succeed. You're confident in your ability to communicate clearly, follow procedures, and lead by example. You're not afraid of systems like INX or Moodle (or to learn them), and you're comfortable working both in the field and in the training room.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience in mining, processing, or maintenance, ideally with exposure to high-risk licence training
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) a Cert IV in Training and Assessing
- Wants to build something meaningful and be part of a team that's just getting started
We're open to developing the right person, especially if you bring the right attitude and operational know-how.
Closing
At Evolution, as our name suggests, change and transformation is in our DNA. We want the Evolution experience to be your career highlight. We are an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a more inclusive and diverse workforce that represents the communities in which we operate. We provide a recruitment process that is fair, equitable and accessible for all and candidates from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. We are focused on keeping our people safe and healthy and creating sustainable value in an environmentally and socially responsible way. Join our bold team to start your next exciting chapter.
