About Us:

CraigCare is a long established, leading member in the aged care provider community in both Western Australia and Victoria. We are committed to creating a fulfilling work environment based on a combined effort of support and dedication towards providing quality services for our residents. We are currently looking for experienced Kitchen Hand staff members for multiple roles - Part Time and Casual to join us at our Pascoe Vale Home. You should be open to work 9 AM to 2.30 PM or any other shift, as deemed appropriate.

About the role:

As a Kitchen Hand using your previous hospitality experience, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, presentation, serving and clean-up of meals to our residents. You will bring a strong commitment to customer service, food safety, and an understanding of special dietary requirements that will have a positive impact on the wellbeing of our resident's, you will therefore hold strong communication skills combined with the ability to build positive and warm working relationships with residents and colleagues. We commit to our residents and our employees, and encourage our staff to commit to working safely within their teams.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist with monitoring and recording requirements of the Food Safety Program
  • Contribute to a clean and safe working environment to ensure the safety of our residents, visitors and staff
  • Preparation and cleaning in accordance with the Food Safety Program

What You'll Bring:

  • Organised, can-do attitude to what can be a physically demanding team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience as a Cook is highly desirable
  • Flexibility to work across any day of the week
  • Ability to cover leaves for chef
  • Flexibility to work shifts of up to 8 hours
  • Previous experience in Hotel Services (Kitchen) within an Aged Care Environment
  • Sound knowledge of Food Safety
