Job Description – Shop SupervisorPosition Title: Supervisor

Reports To: Manager/Business Owner

Location: Hi5 Chicken, Cranbourne West.Email: .comPosition OverviewThe Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shop, ensuring smooth service, high standards of food quality, and excellent customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, the ability to manage staff effectively, and hands-on support in all areas of the business.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management

  • Supervise daily shop operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Monitor food preparation, cooking, and serving to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health & safety standards.

Staff Supervision

  • Lead, motivate, and support team members during shifts.
  • Delegate tasks and monitor staff performance.
  • Train new employees on shop policies, customer service, and food handling.
  • Assist in preparing staff rosters and managing shift coverage.

Customer Service

  • Handle customer queries, concerns, and complaints professionally.
  • Ensure customers receive friendly, efficient, and accurate service.
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming, and customer-friendly environment.

Inventory & Supplies

  • Monitor stock levels of food, packaging, and cleaning supplies.
  • Assist with ordering and receiving deliveries.
  • Minimise waste and manage portion control effectively.

Reporting & Communication

  • Report daily sales, incidents, and staff performance to management.
  • Communicate clearly with staff regarding tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are consistently followed.

Skills & Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality, retail, or food service supervision.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer/cash register skills.
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
