AUTO ELECTRICIAN

BDS Mechanical currently has casual (with potential to lead into full-time) positions available for Auto Electricians to join our team in Perth. A perfect opportunity with various rosters available to join a large, secure, reputable company.

About us:

BDS Mechanical Repairs is a privately owned, growing business that offers mechanical, auto electrical and welding repairs both in house and onsite with 22 fixed workshop locations throughout Queensland. We have over 160 field service units and the team at BDS cover over 600,000 km2 of Queensland and Western Australia, meaning we're never too far away.

The successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Relevant Trade Qualification
  • Diagnostic experience
  • Heavy and medium truck & trailer repair experience
  • High level of technical ability & knowledge
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong fault finding skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Extra skills, experience, tickets and licenses will be advantageous
  • Aircon ticket preferably

Your duties will include:

  • Installing new vehicle wiring systems.
  • Installing and troubleshooting immobilizer and alarm systems.
  • Gathering information from customers about issues with their electrical system.
  • Diagnosing electrical issues and proposing a course of action.
  • Providing customers with estimated time and cost for repairs.
  • Repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical systems.
  • Servicing of electrical automotive parts
