Praxis is an expanding organisation working with children, young people and families within the South-West & South-East regions. Praxis has an amazing team of administrative and support workers, with a fun and friendly work culture.

We are looking for people who share this vision to be part of our quickly growing family. We are seeking people who are available to support children and young people in residential care in both the South-East & South-West regions with the capacity to be rostered for regular sleepovers and weekend shifts. In recognition of this commitment and flexibility, Praxis offers above award renumeration for sleepovers and can offer up to 76 hours per fortnight within the Residential Care Programs.

Required Qualifications

  • A paid Blue Card
  • Current valid Qld driver's license (minimum Green P2)
  • Either completed or enrolled in a Certificate IV or higher in a relevant field.
  • A recent criminal history check
  • Experience working with children and young people with complex needs is beneficial.
  • A Disability Worker Screening Clearance Card is beneficial.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Supporting young people in Residential Care with day-to-day tasks, skill development and striving for goals to achieve optimal wellbeing.
  • Implementing and providing feedback in the development of care plans and therapeutic interventions to support the well-being of young people.
  • Following a weekly house planner and participating in activity planning.
  • Completing professional notes, administration tasks and incident reports within a computer system.
