Opportunity:

WEM has a rewarding opportunity for a Plant Mechanic to join the team. 

This role is based in our workshop at Seven Hills and requires travel to job sites across the area. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose any issues and identify damage to the fleet/plant equipment
  • Repair and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery
  • Conduct regular services to site machines or vehicles
  • Source machinery parts for defect repairs or services 
  • Complete documentation for maintenance requests, repairs and orders as per company guidelines

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:

  • Certificate III in Plant Operations.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of plant equipment, including brands such as Volvo, Kobelco, Bell, Hitachi, and CAT
  • Valid MR Licence, Driver's Licence, and White Card
  • Expertise in component rebuilds and a strong ability to diagnose issues effectively
  • Solutions-focused with adaptability to changing requirements
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring tasks are completed to a high-quality standard
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Committed to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards and practices.
  • Proactive, positive, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision.
