About you

You should have 2-5 years post admission experience in IT and privacy law, including experience with procurement, commercial contracting, licensing, data protection and cybersecurity. Sound consumer law experience, including regulated advertising as well as experience with technology disputes will also be considered favourably.

We're looking for a self-starter with strong technical skills, who is committed to delivering quality and commercially savvy client service. You should be able to work independently, bringing energy, enthusiasm, and flexibility to meet client needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to thrive in a friendly team environment.

Your role

In this position, you will work closely with our experienced partners, focusing on:

  • Provide legal counsel to clients on various IT-related matters, encompassing procurement and supply, commercial contracts, intellectual property, privacy, regulatory compliance, and AI.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate IT and commercial contracts, including services agreements, SLAs and licensing agreements.
  • Offer expert guidance on privacy, regulator notifications, privacy impact assessments and privacy and data audits.
  • Assist clients to successfully manage cyber incidents, including responding to breach events, incident response advice and engaging with regulators.
  • Represent clients in dispute resolution relating to technology-related issues.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and legal developments in information technology, privacy and cybersecurity law.

You will be actively involved in business development, client management, in addition to providing legal advice.
