Reliability Engineer

Are you passionate about driving engineering excellence, improving equipment reliability, and leading impactful projects? We're looking for a Reliability Engineer to join our Ermington Chilled & Frozen team and play a key role in shaping the future of our operations.

As the Reliability Engineer, you'll lead and manage equipment reliability and process improvement initiatives across the site. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to reduce downtime, improve OEE and ensure our maintenance planning is best-in-class.

This is a hands-on role where your technical expertise, problem-solving skills and ability to influence will make a real difference.

Purpose of the role

• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for equipment failures
• Develop and maintain asset reliability strategies 
• Plan and coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance using CMMS
• Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance plant performance
• Ensure critical spare parts are identified, stocked and reviewed regularly
• Collaborate with production, quality and external contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 5 years' engineering experience in an FMCG environment
• Strong electrical/automation background with PLC and programming experience
• Proven ability in maintenance planning and reliability engineering
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Analytical mindset with a passion for process improvement
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or Project Management (desirable)
