Our Quest

We're The Y WA, and we're excited to invite you to join our diverse and inclusive OSHC (Out-Of-School-Hours-Care) team, supporting children to grow in body, mind, and spirit across 20 OSHC centres in WA. We are currently seeking both Qualified Educators and Assistant Educators to join and strengthen our team at the Kalgoorlie OSHC service. Casual contracts are available, with the option for part-time work as well.

• For Unqualified Educators: $66,909 - $80,437 per annum
• Remote hourly allowance ($5.14/hr) up to $10,023 a year (pro rata)

What you'll be doing

You'll build long-lasting relationships with your new OSHC team and our special little ones during before school and after school care. You'll support the supervisor by implementing effective service programs, monitoring behaviour and ratios, while building positive relationships with the children and their parents. Plus, enjoy having one of the most enjoyable day jobs on offer, with our regular activities, incursions, and excursions, that make being at Y OSHC a hit with kids and educators alike

You'll be great in this role if you…

• Have a passion to inspire primary aged children to develop and learn
• Qualified Educators: Hold an ACECQA-approved qualification, such as a Certificate IV in Children's Services, Diploma in Children's Services (0–14), Bachelor of Education, or equivalent. Overseas qualifications must be assessed and recognised by ACECQA.
• Assistant Educators: Have formal qualification is not required, but prior childcare experience is highly regarded.
• Can obtain a HLTAID012 First Aid Certificate
• Have finished your Mandatory Reporting Training (MRT)  course, or willing to do so.
• Have implemented programs for 4-to-12-year olds
• Can obtain a National Police Certificate and Working with Children card
