About the role
- Hybrid and remote working arrangements available
- Full time (flexible working hours available)
- Fixed term to June 2027 (with potential for renewal)
- $102,303 - $107, % super + 17.5% annual leave loading
Working within the Government Relations, Policy and Evidence Directorate, the Senior Advisor, Primary Prevention is located in the Northern Territory and embedded in the Office of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Reduction (Department of Children and Families) as part of a partnership between Our Watch and the NT Government. This role will support the understanding, visibility and growth of primary prevention in the NT, through facilitating connection, skills-building, policy building, and legislative and regulatory reform.
About you
You will have experience working on the prevention of gender-based violence, with a strong understanding of current policy and practice relating to the prevention of violence against women and gender equality. You will have well-developed project management skills, relationship building and management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work, collaborate and consult with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People, government agencies, non-government and community stakeholders, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled organisations, academics and others.
