English Tutor for Japanese

We are looking for a dedicated Business English Tutor to join our growing language tutoring business. The ideal candidate will preferably be a native or upper-level English speaker residing in Brisbane, who also speaks Japanese at a conversational level, but we also welcome international students or individuals on a working-holiday visa with appropriate working rights.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct one-to-one online tutoring sessions for students who wish to learn Business English.
  • Tailor lessons to the individual needs and goals of each student.
  • Provide guidance on reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension in the business context.
  • Create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Attend training sessions to ensure consistent, high-quality tutoring practices.

Qualifications:

  • Native or upper-level proficiency in English (IELTS 7.0 or above). It is preferred if you have experience with the spoken English language in business settings.
  • Native or upper-level proficiency in Japanese (above JLPT N2). Tutoring will be offered in English. However, you might be required to speak Japanese during a lesson.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mind.
  • Ability to work with students of various levels and backgrounds.
  • Must have working rights in Australia (International students or working holiday visa holders welcome).
  • Passion for teaching and helping students succeed.

  • Full training will be provided to ensure you are equipped to deliver effective tutoring sessions.
  • Flexible hours available. Fully remote positions also available.
