Bellwether
provide Project Management and support services to private and government client's right across Australia and beyond. Our people come from major infrastructure backgrounds and bring with them hands-on experience in the planning and delivery of some of Australia's biggest and iconic civil infrastructure projects.

We're looking for a Project Accountant to assist a regional NSW council with the budgeting, accounting, and financial aspects with delivering a major NSW road project.

Contract duration is approximately 6 months with likely extensions, local government role.
Key Responsibilities / Requirements

  • Relevant professional tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, Finance or Information Technology and/or significant experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Local Government NSW Accounting Practices
  • Demonstrated ability in maintenance of corporate financial systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of key financial functions and processes
  • Project accounting including preparation, review, analysis and reporting monthly project reforecasts
  • Oversee the accounts payable function
  • Facilitate engagement with key stakeholders including; funding bodies, contractors, Council partners and government agencies
