We are seeking an experienced Head of People and Culture to join Jabiru's executive team.  Jabiru has over 300 purpose-driven employees across 22 sites. This is a strategic and hands-on standalone role reporting directly to the CEO, responsible for shaping a positive workplace culture, workplace relations, and supporting leaders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of people and culture strategies.
  • Partner with managers to coach on performance, ER matters, and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law, awards, and best practice.
  • Drive leadership capability through tailored development and training programs.
  • Act as trusted advisor on workforce planning, change management, and organisational design.
  • Champion employee wellbeing, safety, and engagement initiatives.
  • Manage HR systems and reporting (Employment Hero).

About You

  • Proven senior HR generalist experience, ideally in standalone or small-team roles.
  • Strong understanding of Australian employment law and workplace relations.
  • Demonstrated capability in performance management, investigations, and coaching managers.
  • Skilled in leadership coaching, development and cultural engagement.
  • Values-driven, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in childcare, education, or community services sectors highly regarded.
  • Must have current drivers licence.
