Who We Are

Palya, Australian Owned & Operated Wholesale Supplier was formed in 2019 to focus on supporting Indigenous communities in Australia with a great range of products. Palya is a business that proudly contributes each year to the Mai Wiru Foundation - which is a not-for-profit Indigenous Organisation that manages remote community stores across the Northern Territory and APY region of South Australia.

About the Role

Since 2019, Palya has grown its operations to service 2000+ customers nationally. With a well-established team and growing operations, Palya is looking to develop the next generation of leaders who will contribute to the overall success of its wholesale business. 

The Palya Team are passionate, talented, dedicated, proud, and hungry for success, and we want like-minded individuals to join the movement. 

As a Full-Time Warehouse Assistant for Palya, you will be required to ensure the smooth operation of the Distribution Centre by picking, scanning and packing inventory accurately and timely.

This role will have you working at our Distribution Centre:

Location – Mai Wiru C/- TGE Depot 6 Johansson Road Wingfield SA 5013; 

and

Full-Time - 38 hours per week

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be across a range of duties and responsibilities, some of which include:

  • Picking, packing, labelling and checking orders for dispatch
  • Loading and unloading pallets of stock
  • Assist with ticketing and pricing of products
  • Accurately checking, receipting, and putting away stock
  • Labelling packages to prepare for shipping
  • Assisting during stocktakes with accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintaining the cleanliness, organisation and safety of the warehouse
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as requested
  • Unpacking and hanging styles
  • Assisting our online store in picking, packing and dispatching orders

Who you Are

  • Available to start immediately
  • Full availability from Monday to Friday
  • Prior experience as a Warehouse Assistant will be preferred, but not mandatory
  • Must have a demonstrated record of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Hands-on and able to handle large volumes of work
  • Proven track record of meeting KPI's
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced and manual environment
  • Display a highly motivated and can-do attitude
  • Reliable and punctual individual
  • Full Driver's Licence (manual car)
  • Police Clearance
  • Forklift Licence is required or a willingness to obtain one
