We are looking for an experienced Media Relations professional to establish and deliver an earned-first thought leadership program for Mahlab on an initial 6 month contract basis.

We're looking for someone who can help us build our reputation as a trusted voice in strategic communications and change management and who can help build the profiles of key executives in our leadership team.

A day in the life could look like this:

  • Identify thought leadership topics and themes that Mahlab can credibly own
  • Develop angles and pitch them to key media outlets
  • Develop opinion editorials and bylines for our executive leadership team
  • Identify relevant speaking opportunities
  • Work with our broader marketing team to adapt thought leadership content for Mahlab's owned channels
  • Secure 2-4 earned media opportunities for Mahlab and our executive team/month across Australia and Singapore
  • Manage media interview process, including executive briefings, key message and Q&A development

The ideal person for this role will possess:

  • Proven experience building and running earned media–first thought leadership programs
  • Strong network with media, particularly in business, marketing, and communications press
  • Demonstrated ability to craft compelling angles and pitches that get media engagement and coverage
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Mahlab's leadership and marketing teams
