Sitzler Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at the Berrimah Office in Darwin, Northern Territory. Main Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and administrating all employee lifecycle activities enabling the Company to achieve its key objectives and to ensure that the Company complies with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Includes but not limited to the following:
Human Resource Coordination
• Develop effective professional relationships with leaders.
• Provide ongoing administration and maintenance of employee files, HR trackers and registers as required.
• Assist with the coordination and administration of annual performance and probation review processes (in conjunction with Human Resources Manager, General Manager & Directors).
• Assist in the return to work processes for employees returning to work from work related and non-work related injury or illness.
• Coordinate the development and implementation of Internship, Apprenticeship and Traineeship Programs, and implement the system and process for sign up, claim form completion, updating of schedules and monitoring visits from external providers.
• Coordinate the process for employee exits including raising of confirmation letter, completing exit form, exit interview and collation of exit interview data.
• Participate in the review and renewal of the Sitzler Certified Agreement as directed by the Human Resources Manager.
• Undertake reviews of job descriptions and HR/IR templates as requested.
• Ensure regular reviews are undertaken, and updates completed for the accurate maintenance of Human Resource Administration manual including updates to instructions following software & process updates & system maintenance improvements.
• Promote a positive company image at all times.
• To stay abreast of Corporate, Legislative and Statutory requirements applicable to your role.
Recruitment & Onboarding
• Undertake end to end recruitment activity for roles as assigned by the Human Resources Manager, including developing job descriptions, positions vacant advertising and liaising with recruitment agencies, collation of and assessment of applications, participating in interviews and selection and undertaking reference checks.
• Ensure timely and accurate administration of the Resource & Recruitment Tracker.
• Assist with the onboarding of new starters, including the delivery of induction presentations to new starters and maintenance of relevant people registers and notifications to the business.
HR Projects
• Proactively contribute to the identification and design of people-related business improvement initiatives as requested by the Human Resources Manager.
• Assist in the implementation of small to medium size projects, as identified and supported by the Human Resources Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum level of knowledge/skills/training required to carry out the job:
• Recognised relevant qualification and/or minimum of 3 years in a HR related position
Or other relevant qualification
Or other relevant industry experience
• Appreciation of the importance and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in every aspect of the role
• Sound knowledge of:
Payroll and human resource principles
Current HR/IR legislation including relevant modern awards, national employment standards, superannuation and single touch payroll legislation
• Approachable, empathetic and ability to communicate with a diverse workforce
• Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to write clearly and concisely
• Highly proficient in computer based HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management and organisational skills
• Ability to perform under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Drivers Licence
