About the Role

Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a dynamic Teacher Live Production to support the effective delivery of vocational and non-vocational education programs in live production. This is a great opportunity to contribute to strategic projects, drive operational improvements, and support collaborative team success in a purpose-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, teach and assess learning activities that meet learner needs
  • Establish and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment
  • Implement learning processes including learning plans and reasonable adjustments
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students
  • Maintain industry engagement and vocational currency
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in student selection, orientation, and staff meetings
  • Mentor and support entry-level teachers (CTL2 and CTL3 levels)
  • Contribute to curriculum design and continuous improvement
Skills and Experience Required
  • Relevant vocational qualifications and current industry experience
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110), or equivalent adult education qualification
  • Strong understanding of teaching methodologies and learner-centred approaches
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in ICT for teaching and reporting
  • Commitment to compliance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • A National Police Check
