An opportunity exists for a proactive and energetic Health & Safety Business Partner to join our national Health and Safety team, supporting our Asphalt business which supplies high quality surfacing solutions for a wide range of Australian road and construction projects.

Reporting to a Business Unit General Manager and Head of Business Partnering Health and Safety, your primary focus is to support our NSW Asphalt business, ensuring that business unit level issues are understood, controls are implemented and compliance and assurance measures reviewed. A central part of this role is to build an intimate understanding of our operations and forge strong and lasting relationships with stakeholders so as to deliver positive safety outcomes.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity and candidates must have the flexibility to travel to various sites across NSW. To support in this, you will be provided with a motor vehicle allowance.

Duties and responsibilities for the role include:

  • Constructively working with and supporting operational leaders on risk management
  • Building operational teams health and safety capacity by providing specialist health and safety advice, support and coaching
  • Supporting the roll out and implementation of the Boral Health & Safety Strategy and Business Unit Plan
  • Facilitation and management of incident response and subsequent analysis and learnings
  • Supporting the operations in appropriate preparation, management and response to HSE Regulatory Compliance inspections, audits, statutory reports and prescribed incident notifications
  • Facilitating the implementation of the HSEQ Management System & National Programs
  • Ensure Assurance Audits are completed in line with the Audit and Assurance Program and monitor closeout of WHS actions.

What are we looking for?

  • A positive and proactive approach with a willingness and commitment to partnering with and supporting operational teams

  • Permanent, full-time opportunity
  • Access to a variety of support networks including Boral Employee Assistance Program
  • Work for a values-based business that shares goals and celebrates individual and team success
  • Join an industry aimed at offering value to the community & committed to Zero Harm
