Content Marketing Specialist

Location: Head Office based in Gatton, with travel required to stores across Australia.

Report to: National Brand Manager

About the Role:

As our Content Marketing Specialist, you will be the driving force behind creating authentic and captivating visual and written content that showcases the Andersens difference. This is not just a desk job; you'll be travelling to our stores and customer locations across Australia, capturing the essence of our projects, the skill of our installers, and the satisfaction of our customers. You will be instrumental in bringing our brand to life through stunning photography, engaging videos, and compelling storytelling, directly contributing to our marketing efforts and supporting our valued franchisees.

This role is perfect for an adventurous, self-motivated individual who is skilled in both the creative and logistical aspects of content production and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the end-to-end creation and management of visual and written content, including but not limited to:

  • Visual Content Strategy & Project Management:

    • Plan, develop, and execute comprehensive photo and video project plans, aligning with overall marketing strategies and campaign goals.

    • Develop detailed project briefs, creative storyboards, and shot lists for diverse projects, including installation showcases, customer testimonials, product features, and store profiles.

    • Source, liaise with, and manage external vendors (e.g., specialist videographers, photographers, talent) as required, ensuring quality and brand alignment.

    • Meticulously coordinate all logistics for photo and video shoots, including travel arrangements, location scouting, scheduling with store owners, installers, and customers.

    • Oversee visual project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and within scope.

  • Content Creation & Production:

    • Travel extensively to Andersens stores and customer project sites across Australia to capture high-quality video footage and still photography.

    • Conduct interviews with customers, store owners, and installers to gather authentic testimonials and stories.

    • Manage all aspects of post-production, including video editing, photo retouching, sound mixing, and graphic integration, or oversee external editors to achieve the desired outcome.

    • Facilitate review processes and secure necessary approvals for all visual content from relevant stakeholders.

  • Content Management & Distribution:

    • Organise, catalogue, and maintain a comprehensive Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, ensuring all visual assets are easily accessible and properly tagged.

    • Ensure all visual and written content strictly adheres to Andersens' brand guidelines, quality standards, and legal requirements.

    • Develop and manage engaging email marketing campaigns, utilising created content to nurture leads and drive customer engagement.

  • Franchisee Support & Collateral Development:

    • Develop user-friendly content templates (e.g., social media graphics, local area marketing materials) for franchisees to adapt for their local marketing efforts.

    • Assist in creating compelling scripts, copy, and narratives for videos, social media, website content, advertisements, and internal communications.

    • Lead the creation and management of product catalogues for seasonal and promotional sales events, coordinating with product and marketing teams.

  • Marketing & Brand Support:

    • Collaborate with the national marketing team to develop and implement content strategies across various channels.

    • Monitor content performance and provide insights for continuous improvement.

    • Stay updated with the latest trends in content marketing, videography, photography, and social media within the home improvement and retail sectors.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience (2-3 years) in a content creation role, with a strong portfolio showcasing high-quality photography and videography.

  • Demonstrable experience in end-to-end video and photo project management, from concept development to final delivery.

  • Proficiency in professional video and photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite - Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, After Effects).

  • Experience managing Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.

  • Solid understanding of lighting, composition, and audio recording techniques.

  • Experience in developing and managing email marketing campaigns (experience with email marketing platforms is a plus).

  • Excellent copywriting and scripting skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and platforms.

  • Experience in catalogue creation and management is highly desirable.

  • Ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively.

  • Strong understanding of brand management and the importance of consistent visual and an oral identity.

  • A valid Australian driver's license and willingness to travel extensively (approximately 50-70% of the time).
